Sunday night - NYC.

¤ I attended the Pittsburgh show last night. I drove close to five hours and was there pretty early so I saw Melissa Auf Der Maur and HIM (excluding Ville) get off the tour bus a little after it arrived. For some reason, Ville wasn't traveling on the same bus as the rest of the band (unless he went in some back entrance because I saw the tour bus arrive.)

¤ Anywho, I was in the 3rd row in the beginning for the first act but when Monster Magnet came on, I almost got crushed to death so I got out of the crowd and went off to the side.

¤ HIM came on after which seemed like a long while between sets, and they were great! At first I thought they were playing the same set list as the last US tour but they weren't. He didn't seem like he was wasted and he wasn't drinking.

¤ He actually excused himself during the set to go outside and smoke a cigarrette, which I thought was pretty strange since he had already smoked one on stage. Before he left to go smoke, he said that we had to clap for him while he was taking a smoke break so he would come back. I really didn't understand why he did that, but sure enough everyone cheered and chanted HIM and Ville so he would come back.

¤ I wish they would have played longer but they didn't. They played one of my favorite songs "The Fortress Of Tears" and before he played it he said it was okay to go cry.. All in all, it was a pretty good show except for the fact that I almost got crushed by crazed Monster Magnet fans.
